Vin Diesel wants to do a Fast & Furious musical

Vin Diesel has said he’d love to do a musical adaptation of the Fast & Furious.

The actor is currently promoting the latest instalment of the film franchise, F9, which is out now in cinemas.

Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show on US TV this month, he revealed his musical hopes for the movie series.

Asked if he’d ever consider being a part of a musical adaptation, Diesel replied: “I’m dying to do a musical, so yes, I would!”

He continued: “I’ve been dying to do a musical my whole life,” before sharing that he was “this close to doing Guys and Dolls with Steven Spielberg, but we ended up not doing that.”

Diesel added: “For the longest time, I thought the Nathan Detroit role in Guys and Dolls would be a very interesting one to revamp, the one that Frank Sinatra played in Guys and Dolls.”

He went on to credit his family for his love of the arts.

The movie star explained: “My family is artistic, and I’m blessed to have that and I’m blessed to be in a family that is supportive of these crazy dreams.

“I would encourage everyone to support the people who want to think outside the box and dream something impossible because there’s great beauty in that.”

As of right now there’s no official plans for a Fast & Furious musical – but with Vin Diesel who knows what the future may hold?
