West End comes to Blackpool for special streaming event

The West End will come to Blackpool for a special online streaming event.

Stars of the stage will perform at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool for a one-off digital show.

West End in Blackpool will see Blackpool homegrown stars Jodie Prenger, Tom Lister, Kelsey-Beth Crossley, Ashley Luke Lloyd and Laura Wilson perform numbers from West End musicals alongside a West End Ensemble of performers predominantly from Blackpool.

They will be joined by the Leading Lady and Leading Man of the West End Musical ‘Top Hat’ – Charlotte Gooch and Alan Birkett – who will perform a captivating American Smooth dance.

The show will celebrate the rich history of the Winter Gardens and its past performers to create a unique show which combines documentary coverage with stunning performances and visuals.

Performances will include Sondheim’s classic ‘Send in the Clowns’, Sinatra’s uplifting ‘All Of me’, Shirley Bassey’s enchanting (Where Do I Begin) ‘Love Story’, Fred Astaire’s romantic ‘Cheek to Cheek’, ABBA’s power-ballad ‘Winner Takes It All’, Ethel Merman’s invigorating ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ and Queen’s haunting melody ‘The Show Must Go On’.

You’ll be able to stream West End in Blackpool from 6 April to 9 July 2021. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk/whats-on/west-end-blackpool
