A proshot of Disney’s Frozen The Musical is to be released on Disney+ in 2025.

The show’s current West End production was filmed earlier this year.

The recording will be available to stream next year on Disney+, with an exact release date to be confirmed.

The Frozen cast features Samantha Barks as Elsa, Laura Dawkes as Anna, Jammy Kasongo as Kristoff, Craig Gallivan as Olaf, Oliver Ormson as Hans, Richard Frame as Duke of Weselton; and alternating the role of Sven, Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall.

For now, you can catch Frozen The Musical in its final months in London.

The hit show will end its magical three-year journey at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 8 September 2024 having captivated over 2.8 million people since it began its run in August 2021.

Featuring music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a book by Jennifer Lee, Frozen quickly garnered critical acclaim, winning 7 WhatsOnStage Awards and receiving 4 Olivier Award nominations, including Best New Musical. Director Michael Grandage and his creative team, including set and costume designer Christopher Oram, brought the story to life on a grand scale, highlighted by a dazzling array of 154 costumes and a set adorned with tens of thousands of crystals.

Alongside the rumoured proshot, it’s been claimed that Disney are developing live action remake of the original animation.

It would be the latest live action remake from Disney following the recent release of The Little Mermaid and the upcoming Snow White.

Meanwhile, a proshot of Disney’s Aladdin musical was filmed in the West End back in 2019. It has still yet to be released.
