Magic with the Musicals show to take place at The London Palladium

Magic with the Musicals line up and date

A host of musical stars will reunite in the West End for a special radio show.


Magic with the Musicals will be recorded at The London Palladium on September 17 and broadcast on September 23 on Magic Radio and Magic at the Musicals.

The show will feature a mix of performances interviews with over 70 leading figures from across the musicals industry in a bid to shine a spotlight on theatre at a time when its very existence is under threat.

The London Musical Theatre Orchestra, led by Musical Director Jon Ranger, will provide the soundtrack to 11 performances from supporting musicals including Mamma Mia!, Dreamgirls, Disney’s The Lion King, & Juliet and more – see the full line up below.

Plus, students from Mountview, who are the future of the industry, will be forming a 16-strong chorus, supporting the performances

Nicole Raquel Dennis (Dreamgirls and Dear Evan Hansen) will interview performers as they take to the stage again while Ruthie Henshall will be conducting interviews with some of the industry leaders including producer Judy Craymer, CEO of LW Theatres Rebecca Kane Burton and producer Sonia Friedman.

As well as all that, John Owen-Jones will host a series of round table chats with names including Trevor Dion Nicholas (Aladdin and Hamilton) and Six producer Kenny Wax.

Magic with the Musicals will air at 7PM on Wednesday, September 23 on Magic Radio and Magic at the Musicals. Listen on radio, online, on the Magic app or on smart speaker.
