& Juliet musical UK tour cast announced

Full casting has been announced for the UK tour of hit musical & Juliet.

Fresh from its run in the West End, the jukebox musical is hitting the road for its first ever UK tour.

Shows will begin this summer, opening at the Manchester Opera House in July.

Gerardine Sacdalan (Urdang Academy graduate) will star as Juliet, joined by Sandra Marvin (Sister Act) as Angélique and Lara Denning (Sunset Boulevard) as Anne and Matt Cardle (Memphis) as Shakespeare. Dr Ranj Singh will make his musical theatre debut playing the role of Lance.

Also in the cast are Jack Danson as Romeo, Kyle Cox as Francois and Jordan Broatch as May,.

Completing the company are Michael Nelson as Henry, Liam Morris as Richard, Jade Johnson as Nell / Lady C, Rosie Singha as Judith, Nia Stephen as Imogen, Psalms-Nissi Myers-Reid as Lucy/Alternate Juliet, Andilé Mabhena as Augustine / Dance Team, Harriet Caplan-Dean as Eleanor, Alexander Kranz as Lennox Aaron Shales as Gregory / Dance Team, Toni Paise as Violet and Samuel Wilson-Freeman as Fletcher / Resident Director and Dance Captain.

Principal Cast of & Juliet

In & Juliet, the story centres around William Shakespeare and his wife Anne Hathaway as they rewrite and perform his iconic narrative of the ill-fated lovers Romeo & Juliet. The production explores the idea that Juliet’s renowned conclusion might be just the start of her journey.

This jukebox musical features a vibrant pop soundtrack comprised of songs originally performed by artists such as Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding, all composed by Max Martin.

The show, written by David West Read, is helmed by director Luke Sheppard and features orchestration by Bill Sherman, choreography by Jennifer Weber, set design by Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting by Gareth Owen, sound by Andrzej Goulding, video and projection design by Linda McKnight, and wig design by Betty Marini and Dominic Fallacaro. The casting is overseen by Stuart Burt CDG.
